What Are Essential Oils In Cleaning and Why Should We Be Using Them?

Essential Oils are a popular topic amongst the environmentally conscious. Essential oils provide an eco-friendly and ethical alternative to using ‘fragrance’ infused products.  Not many are aware of this, but even though a lot of products such as cleaning products, soaps and detergents advertise beautiful pictures of lemons, mandarins, eucalyptus and lavender on the label, the majority of these actually contain various synthetic chemicals.

If you have a bottle of kitchen or bathroom cleaner in your home that isn’t made from 100% natural ingredients, have a read of the label. You’ll notice that although a lot of these cleaning products are advertising a ‘fresh and natural smell’, in reality this smell will be produced from the help of various toxins and chemicals.

So that brings us onto the next point – what are essential oils?

Essential oils are 100% plant derived oils that replace the need for synthetic fragrances and also provide antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral cleaning properties. Using only the greatest smelling ingredients such as; Eucalyptus Australiana, Peppermint, Lemon Myrtle, Mandarin, Lemon Scented Eucalyptus, Pink Grapefruit and Rosemary, Koala ECO are able to effectively and safely give their products a gorgeous scent, which is natural, and yet safe.

Why does Koala ECO use Essential Oils?

At Koala ECO, we want to use 100% natural ingredients that are from Australia, and that not only smell fantastic, but also are also efficient in what we’ve manufactured them to do.  When we say manufactured, it’s important not to think synthetic ingredients or artificial fragrances, instead we use the word manufactured because to perfect the balance of all the natural ingredients in our products we have used the help from various scientists.  This ensures that the right amount of everything has been used to provide you with a cleaning product that is safe, tested and trialled.

With the use of essential oils, you won’t need to worry about damaging the environment nor harming the health of you or your family. You will happily know that all the gorgeous smells given off from our products can all be enjoyed safely.

One more thing …

Any sale made from our Koala ECO store will have a portion of it donated to the One Percent for the Planet Charity. It’s therefore great to know that as well as using fantastic and natural cleaning products that are great for your family and the environment, you’ll also be contributing to an amazing cause for the ongoing protection of land, forests, rivers, oceans, and also to encourage sustainable methods of energy production.
